Stags Leap Wine Cellars Karia Chardonnay is clear and pale lemon in color.
The nose is clean with a medium intensity of aromas. The aromas consist of green apple, pear, melon and vanilla. This wine is youthful.
This Stags Leap Wine Cellars Karia Chardonnay is a dry wine with medium acidity and full body. It has a medium intensity of flavors. The flavors consist of green apple, pear and melon from the fruit side. The non-fruit flavors are from the oak and full of vanilla with a medium length toast like finish.
Stags Leap Wine Cellars Karia Chardonnay is a good wine overall with balance and complexity. The alcohol level being high definitely stands out with some burn on this one. Not my favorite from this line, but definitely their “volume” Chardonnay. Personally from their portfolio I prefer the “Arcadia” over this one.

Winemakers Tasting Notes
This graceful Chardonnay has inviting aromas of pear, white peach and honeysuckle. Medium bodied, this wine has a lovely texture and delicate ripe fruit notes with hints of minerality and lemon zest on the finish.
