Aroma/Nose
Nose is clean with medium(–) intensity aromas. The aromatic characteristics of this wine consist of crisp melon, strawberry and watermelon.
Taste/Palate
This is a dry wine with medium acidity and body. Flavors of strawberry, watermelon and honey dew melon liven the palate. The wine has a medium finish with a very light bread note (more than likely from lees aging process).
Overall Experience
I found this Spier Rosé 2017 to be a fairly simple wine that was a perfect fit for our hot summer beach day. Primarily fruit driven with not a ton of complexity. You will more than likely miss the bready note if you’re not looking for it.
