Wine Review: 2015 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay
Name – Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay
Vintage – 2015
Region – USA – California – Central Coast
Varietal – Chardonnay
Pricing – $9.00
Alcohol Content – 13.5%
Bottle – Yellowish green in appearance with a black label and white and gold fonts.
Wine – The wine is a bright golden yellow.
Heavy oak hit the nose right away followed by a vanilla and peach component.
Nice dry yet creamy texture coats the palate followed by an acidic zing.
Vanilla and honey hit the palate first then moves into granny apple flavor and a nice citrus. This wine stays mid-palate and moves forward.
The finish is a nice soft oak mixed with a peach-like flavor.
The Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay is another great value for the money. You get what you pay for and I’d say a solid experience, full of flavor that any Chardonnay lover could appreciate without breaking the budget.
