Aroma/Nose

The nose comes off clean with medium intensity aromas. The aromas consist of raspberry, spice, vanilla, oak and some herbaceous notes.

Taste/Palate

Wine is dry, with medium plus body, medium acidity and tannin levels. We picked up lively notes of raspberry, cherry and blueberry initially. This was followed by sweet herbaceous spices that tickled the palate. The finish was fairly long in length with notes of vanilla and oak.

Overall Experience

For being a younger cabernet, we thought the Pine Ridge Napa Valley Cabernet was excellent. I would love to see this bottle again after a few more years of aging to see what additional complexity it may add. I would recommend this to any Napa Cab lover to try!

Pine Ridge Vineyards Winemakers Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in color, this wine boasts aromas of raspberry and blueberry perfumed with floral notes and touches of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, cherry and raspberry fruit comes forward with layers of cassis, blueberry, vanilla cream, spice, and a sweet note. The texture is smooth and silky with well-integrated tannins and good acidic weight. The wine finishes long and polished
