Aroma/Nose
The nose comes off clean with medium intensity aromas. The aromas consist of raspberry, spice, vanilla, oak and some herbaceous notes.
Taste/Palate
Wine is dry, with medium plus body, medium acidity and tannin levels. We picked up lively notes of raspberry, cherry and blueberry initially. This was followed by sweet herbaceous spices that tickled the palate. The finish was fairly long in length with notes of vanilla and oak.
Overall Experience
For being a younger cabernet, we thought the Pine Ridge Napa Valley Cabernet was excellent. I would love to see this bottle again after a few more years of aging to see what additional complexity it may add. I would recommend this to any Napa Cab lover to try!
