The wine is clear and pale ruby in color.
The nose is clean with medium intensity. Notes of jammy red fruit, red cherry and strawberry intermingle with a nice oak.
This wine is dry with high acidity, low tannins and a medium body. The flavors consist of strawberry, red cherry and oak. There is a nice medium + in length oak finish to this wine.
The Domaine Carneros Estate Pinot Noir 2014 is pretty simple pinot noir that was pleasant to drink. Not overly complex flavors, but has slightly greater body than their Avant Garde Pinot Noir. Overall, we thought this was a good wine suitable for any occasion.
