The Chateau Haut Cadet St. Emilion Grand Cru is clean with medium intensity aromas. Primary aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black plum, and red currant. Also noted some herbal notes of eucalyptus and lavender. Hints of game, meat, and mushroom give this wine some depth and shows development.
The palate is dry with medium acidity and body and a medium (+) flavor intensity. Medium (+) tannins with notes of red and black currant, cranberry, and blackberry. Secondary flavors such as cedar and chocolate also hit the palate. This wine has a long hearty finish.
This Chateau Haut Cadet St. Emilion Grand Cru has balance, complexity, and intensity and good length which makes this an outstanding wine. You can drink this wine now but shows potential for aging.
