Aroma/Nose
Black fruits such as blackberry, black cherry and plum hit the nose strong at first. A slight floral component as well.
Texture/Body
Medium bodied dry wine. Medium tannins that grip the mouth right away. The wine has high acidity.
Tasting/Palate
I sense black cherries and berries from my initial sip. Mixed with a slight floral and some bitterness. Also a bit of rich earth was one of the more dominant notes for me.
Finish
There was a medium length and earthy mineral finish to this wine.
Overall
The Château des Déduits Fleurie was not your typical fruit forward wine, although there were some nice fruit flavors. I thought the earthiness was robust enough to carry the experience of this wine. Finish was medium in length, but very rich in terms of earth and minerality. Not one of my favorites, but definitely something that is a good alternative if your wine of choice is unavailable.

Winemakers Tasting Notes
Beneath this deep red colour is a smooth, harmonious wine dominated by violet, peony and iris aromas. Well-balanced and of excellent origin, this wine is sure to age well. We recommend to taste this wine at 15-16°C.
