Berberana Gran Tradicion Cava Brut is clear and pale lemon in color.

The nose is clean with medium intensity aromas. Aromas consist of apple, lemon and blossom in the primary notes and pastry on the secondary. I would consider this wine youthful.

The palate is dry with medium acidity and body. This wine has a creamy mousse and medium intensity flavor profile. The profile consists of lemon and lime juice, apple, blossom and a bread similar to that of toasted brioche. This wine had a medium length finish.

Overall Experience

I thought this Berberana Gran Tradicion Cava Brut had balance and some complexity which makes it a good wine. The length and intensity could have been longer and stronger, but the drinking experience was pleasant. This wine is for drinking now – not suitable for aging.

Winemakers Notes

Simple lime and salinic aromas are clean and fresh. The palate is juicy and tight with lime, apple, and dry spice flavors. Finishes balanced and citrusy, with proper length and mouthfeel.
