Aroma/Nose
The nose is clean with a medium intensity of aromas. The aromas consist of gooseberry, pineapple, passion fruit and grapefruit for the fruity notes. The non-fruity notes are some stone and minerality.
Taste/Palate
This wine is dry with high acidity and medium bodied. The flavor profile was high in intensity with notes of pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit guava and some ginger. The finish was long with a nice clean minerality component. This wine is youthful.
Overall Experience
This Shadow Bay Reserve Sauvignon Blanc had complexity, intensity and a nice finish making it a very good wine. A great value overall for $9.99. This wine is made for drinking now and not suitable for further aging.
