Pre-Light:
Aroma – Chocolate

Cold Draw – Nuts and Raisin
After Toast:
First Third – Cocoa, coffee, earth and spiciness comes out to kick this thing off. Once this settles in the cocoa and coffee take over with the spiciness lingering on the back of the palate on the finish. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.
Second Third – This third gets nutty with some spice during the transition. The earthiness moves to the finish on this one along with that light pepper spicy note. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the halfway point.
Final Third – This third has nuts and gets a little smoked meaty here towards the finish. Also a dark fruit like note shows sporadically. The burn remains sharp.
Suggested Pairing:
Wine – San Giuseppe Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG
Overall Experience:
This ROMEO by Aging Room is an outstanding smoke with lots of rich masculine notes and some spiciness to really twist the palate in a delightful way. I liked the fruit note towards the end, which to me felt like a nice dessert after a good meal! Definitely try this one out.
