This Ramon Bueso Genesis Habano has a dark brown wrapper bordering on dark chocolate in color but has a nice oily shine and some marbling effects happening. There are a few fine long veins running up the side and tight, nearly invisible seams.

Aroma – Natural Tobacco and Wood

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Natural Tobacco and Wood

After Toast:

First Third – Smoked wood and natural tobacco notes hit the palate hard right out of the gate leaving a nice earthy finish on the palate. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.

Second Third – A nice sweet tobacco note followed by cedar and spice hit this third. Really nice transition with real pronounced flavor. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the 2.5 inch mark.

Final Third – The sweet tobacco and cedar with spice carry through to this third. The finish moves to a nice dark chocolate espresso note. The burn remains sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Scotch – Macallan 12yr

Wine – Jigsaw Pinot Noir

Overall Experience:

We thought the flavor profile on this Ramon Bueso Genesis Habano was fantastic. The wood, tobacco and cedar with spice all dance along the palate in harmony together throughout the smoke. Great experience for a smoke under $6.00!
