Pre-Light:
Aroma – Cedar and Spice
Type of Cut – Straight
Cold Draw – Cedar
After Toast:
First Third– Sweet Cedar and spice start this off with a sharp peppery tickle on the back of the throat. Starts out heavy on the palate so full bodied right out of the gate. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.
Second Third- The cinnamon spice note really takes the stage mixed with the creamy cedar on the finish. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the halfway point.
Final Third – The spice is still the dominant note with the cedar. A slight licorice note shows on the finish. Still a full bodied smoke! The burn remains sharp.
Suggested Pairing:
Bourbon – Bulleit
Wine – Groth Oakville Cabernet
Overall Experience:
This Punch Signature is a really nice smoke that leads you in with cedar, teases you with pepper then blasts you with a barrage of baking spices. The cedar shows back up and gives you a nice licorice finish to top you off. Great experience.
