Nat Sherman Timeless TAA 2019
This is a cigar review of the Nat Sherman Timeless TAA 2019 produced by Nat Sherman Cigars. The size chosen for this review is the toro. This cigar is a Dominican puro, which means all the tobacco is from the Dominican Republic. This cigar is a solid medium plus to full body and retails around $13.80 a stick of $130.50 per box of 10. This is a limited release of 1500 boxes so get them while you can.
This Nat Sherman Timless TAA 2019 is a beautiful rich cocoa oily brown with heavy reddish tints to it. Reminds me of the chocolate river in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. There are some minimal veins and visible yet tight seams. This cigar is triple banded with the first two being navy blue with rose gold fonts and the third being straight gold with black font.
Aromas of nuts, sweet spice and cocoa all begin the experience in the pre-light. We are utilizing a straight cut, which then produced nice notes of nuts and cocoa on the cold draw.
First Third – Deep nutty and cocoa notes start this cigar off heavy on the palate. Some oily leather like notes come into the equation about halfway through the third. The body is full, burn wavy and ash holds through the third.
Second Third – The nutty notes, spice and cocoa really continue strong here with the oily and leather notes fading at the transition. The ash fell just after the transition. The body remains full and burn remains wavy.
Final Third – Come cedar mixes in with the nutty and cocoa notes here leaving a slight tang on the palate. The spice picks up a bit and oiled leather like note comes back on the finish. The body remains full and burn remains wavy.
Bourbon – Bib & Tucker
Scotch – Glenfiddich 12
Whiskey – Whistle Pig 10
Anytime you have nuts, spice and cocoa meandering around each other makes for a nice smoke experience. Overall this wasn’t overly complex, but enjoyable and worth another smoke somewhere down the line when I come across them again. For the price point I think you can do better, but that is for you to decide.
