Nat Sherman Timeless Prestige
This is a cigar review of a Nat Sherman Timeless Prestige by Nat Sherman Cigars. The size chosen for this review is the Hermoso (Robusto). The composition of this cigar consists of a Honduran Habano wrapper followed by Dominican and Nicaraguan blended filler. This smokes medium to full bodied and prices around $8.33 per stick.
This Nat Sherman Timeless Prestige is a lighter chocolate color with some visible veins and seams that are slightly lifted. There is a really hard part in the center of this smoke, which I hope doesn’t turn out to be a plug and give us draw issues. (Spoiler it didn’t)
Loads of breakfast aromas of sweet notes of nuts and coffee radiate from the wrapper and foot of the cigar. We chose the straight cut for this review. The cold draw produces notes of cedar and nuts.
First Third – Salted nuts and coffee notes start this smoke off with a little dark chocolate on the finish. A nice sweetness comes into play with some earthy notes as well here. The body is medium, burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.
Second Third – Nice cinnamon coffee notes in this third with a slight tang of cedar in the background. The body picks up slightly, but still in the medium range. The burn remains sharp and ash falls at the halfway point.
Final Third – Spiced coffee notes really carry this home but they get much heavier and move the body towards the fuller side of the spectrum. The burn remains sharp.
- Wine – Trivento Malbec
- Scotch – Johnnie Walker Double Black
This Nat Sherman Timeless Prestige hits all the marks in the flavor profile that anyone who smokes cigars would whole heartedly enjoy. The cinnamon, coffee, nuts, salt, chocolate all carry you through the spectrum third by third. Definitely not my last time smoking one of these and would suggest that you pick this up.
Cigar Aficionado – 88-91pts.
