Construction/Appearance:

This Mark Twain Cigars Memoir is heavy as it gets in terms of weight. The wrapper is a nice dark chocolate marbled brown. This cigar has plenty of veins and tight visible seams.

Pre-Light:

Aroma – Cedar and Spice

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Cedar and Spice

After Toast:

First third –  Cedar, Cream and spice all take the stage and within a few minutes a nice coffee note comes in. This is a medium plus bodied smoke. The burn is slightly wavy and ash holds through the third.

Second Third – Coffee and cinnamon spice take over this entire third. The body is still medium plus. The burn remains wavy.

Final Third – Coffee and mellow spice carry into this this. Flavor profile a. It muddled but it doesn’t completely kill the smoke experience. The body turns more medium at this point. The burn turns sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Bourbon – Knob Creek

Wine – Pardon & Fils Beaujolais

Overall Experience:

I thought this Mark Twain Cigars Memoir was a decent smoke for $3.00. No real surprises in this experience, which was fairly simple. The final third was a little muddy, but for the price it’s a good option to keep stocked in the humidor for a night with buddies when you don’t want to break the bank.
