JFR Lunatic Maduro El Chiquito – Cigar Review

JFR Lunatic Maduro El Chiquito

This is a cigar review of a JFR Lunatic Maduro El Chiquito by Aganorsa Leaf Cigars. The size of this smoke is the El Chiquito which is a short and fat guy at 4 3/4 by 70! This is a full bodied bomb that goes for around $6.28.

The JFR Lunatic Maduro El Chiquito wrapper is a matte milk chocolate brown with some thick veins and invisible seams.

Aroma – Cedar and Barnyard

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Cedar and Nuts

After Toast:

First Third – Spice, Wood and coffee come to the palate first with some earthy like notes on the finish. That flavor profile holds through the third as this is a full bodied smoke. The burn is wavy and ash holds strong.

Second Third – Coffee is pounding the palate in this third with the earth and subtle spice moving to the finish. Some leathery notes begin to show themselves in this third. The smoke remains fuller bodied. The burn remains wavy and ash holds through the third.

Final Third – The ash falls off right after the start of this third. The coffee and spice notes remain the primaries with that earthy finish. The leather notes come in heavy as the cigars end nears. The body moves to a strong full here. The burn remains wavy.

Suggested Pairing:

Tequila – Patron Cafe

Wine – Ponzi Pinot Noir

Overall Experience:

We always love a good full bodied smoke and this JFR Lunatic Maduro El Chiquito was a phenomenal smoke to end a long week. Loved the coffee, earth and spice notes intermingling on the palate with some wood features as well. This made for a really pleasant experience and we would recommend this one to those out there who can handle a fuller bodied smoke.
