Illusione OneOff – Cigar Review

Illusione One Off

This is a cigar review of an Illusione OneOff by Illusione Cigars. The size chosen for this review is the Pyramides (6.2×52). This cigars composition is a wrapper of Nicaraguan Habano followed by Nicaraguan fillers. This cigar is a medium bodied smoke and priced around $16.25 at your local shop! We were fortunate enough to find these at the Smoke Inn in Port St. Lucie!

Construction/Appearance:

This Illusione OneOff is a rich brown leather in color with a few visible veins and invisible seams.

Pre-Light:

Aroma – Cedar

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Cedar and Peanut

After Toast:

First Third – Nuts and woody notes start this smoke off with a tangy spice like note that finishes sweet. Some earthy notes come into play about halfway through the third on the finish. This is medium bodied thus far. The burn is sharp and ash falls at the inch mark.

Second Third – The wood and cashew notes mixed with the sweet spice carry into this third. The earth notes remain on the finish as well. This is a medium bodied smoke. The burn remains sharp.

Final Third –This final third is all wood and cashew like notes with the spice moving to the finish. Love a good cashew note in a cigar. Still a medium bodied smoke. The burn remains sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Scotch – Glenlivet 18

Wine – Duckhorn 3 Palms Merlot

Overall Experience:

Anytime cashew notes can be in a cigars profile its a win for us and this Illusione OneOff has plenty of that to go around! The sweet spice is also another great note to mix with the cashew. Overall a good cigar to pick up if you can find them at your local shop!
