This Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro is a nice dark chocolate colored wrapper with glowing shades of orange as the light hits it. A really marbled like effect on the wrapper with plenty of veins visible and seams are missing in action!

Cold Draw – Cedar and light Raisin

After Toast:

First Third – Floral and rich coffee notes kick this cigar off with a bang. Some salted nutty notes follow in this third as well. Some spicy notes come in like a red pepper once this gets going. The finish gets real earthy. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.

Second Third – The floral notes continue followed by cedar, spice and that beautiful earthy like coffee finish. Amazing flavor in this cigar thus far. Feels like a bouquet on your palate. The burn is sharp and ash falls at the beginning of this third.

Final Third – The floral notes are perfumes and great in this third! The cedar note follows along with spicy earth on the finish. Great smoke all around. The burn remains sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Bourbon – Woodford Reserve

Wine – Stags Leap Cellars FAY

Overall Experience:

This Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro is a great complex smoke experience. The range of flavors in the profile are fantastic going all the way from floral to coffee, spice, earth and cedar. I really enjoyed this smoke and think you will too. Check it out if you are given the opportunity!
