This Heart of Fay Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is clear and medium ruby in color. 


The nose is clean with a medium (+) intensity of aromas. The aromas consist of black fruits with blackberry, black currant and black cherry leading the way followed by cedar and tobacco. This wine is developing. 


This Heart of Fay Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is dry with a medium acidity and high level of fine tannins. The wine is full bodied on the palate with a high intensity of flavors. The flavor profile consists of black fruits like black currant and blackberry with some floral notes of violet. There is a nice vanilla note that comes in to the mix followed by a long toasty oak finish. This wine can be for drinking now, but suitable for further aging. 

Overall Experience 

This wine was outstanding. It checks all the boxes in terms of balance, complexity, intensity and finish length making it a homerun. While it is pricey, it is a perfect wine for a special occasion or to surprise a wine connoisseur.

Winemakers Notes

On the nose, this FAY Cabernet Sauvignon is generous and giving with aromas of violet, cherry cola, ripe cherry and blackberry. The wine has a very silky texture that coats the mouth with fruit and leads to a smooth and lingering finish loaded with cherry and berry flavors.
