After Toast:
First Third – This cigar is a creamy vanilla and nutty delight to start off the experience. Some cedar kicks in on the finish and lingers long between puffs. Once the flavors blend a bit on the palate the nice caramel coffee or toffee note come forth. Superb. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.
Second Third – Creamy caramel is the pure note in this third. Like putting a caramel cube in your mouth and savoring it. Really nice simple experience. The burn remains sharp.
Final Third – Nutty notes and an earthy note on the finish polish this cigar off. The burn remains sharp.
Suggested Pairing:
Coffee
Wine – Chandon Etoile Brut
Scotch – Glenmorangie
Overall Experience:
This HC Series White Shade Grown is a simple cigar with some really nice notes in the flavor profile. The caramel, nuts and vanilla really are the show stoppers here. There is not a whole lot of complexity, but that’s not what you go into this smoke looking for. This is a simple mellow experience perfect for that morning coffee.
