This EP Carrillo La Historia has a nice oily dark chocolate colored wrapper with reddish orange hues.

After Toast:
First Third – Rich Dark Chocolate, toasted nuts and pepper all pound the palate right out of the gate on this smoke. Some smoky earth like notes also come in towards the end of the third. This is a medium plus bodied smoke in this third. The burn is sharp and ash falls at the inch mark.
Second Third – Dark Chocolate and smoky earth carry into this third. The cigar is heavy on the palate here picking up to full bodied. The burn remains sharp.
Final Third – Chocolate and wood notes begin this third with the earth moving to the finish. Some espresso notes come in towards the end. The smoke remains full bodied here. The burn remains sharp.

Overall Experience:
This EP Carrillo La Historia had a nice balance of flavors within the profile that made for a great smoke experience. The dark chocolate notes were very distinctive in this smoke as well as the earth component. Overall we loved it and would have again in a split second given the opportunity!
