First Third – The cigar starts off with some floral and wood like notes mixed with leather and spice. Strong start! Few minutes in an orange / lemon zest note hits the palate with a zing. The burn is sharp and ash is fell at the end of the third.
Second Third – A nutty component comes into play combining with a nice wood flavor with the florals still sitting on the finish. The floral notes linger for a while between puffs. Like a bouquet of fresh spring flowers. The burn remains sharp.
Final Third – The nutty and floral notes carry into this third, but the spice kicks up here! The citrus notes really come back here in a refreshing way. A very sophisticated flavor profile.
Scotch – Glenlivet 18
Overall, we loved the original La Flor de Ynclan robusto we tried and this new Villiger La Flor de Ynclan Lancero Especial follows it up with a bang. A real nice overall smoking experience with everything you love about the original release plus some additional citrus like notes that are more prominent in this stick. A great experience overall for any cigar smoker out there and we highly recommend you find this at your local smoke shop!
