Name – VegaFina Nicaragua by VegaFina Cigars

Size – Gran Toro

Wrapper – Habana 2000

Tobacco Blend – Nicaragua

Pricing – $4.96 – $5.64

Body – Medium

The cigar is double banded. First band with a black and silver color scheme and the second with orange, black and silver trim.

The cigar is a walnut tan to orange brown in color. Minimal veins and seams but there are some obvious stretch marks. The cigar is double capped.

Aroma – Cedar and natural tobacco

Type of Cut – V-Cut

Cold Draw – Light sweet cedar and natural tobacco.

After Toast:

First third – Loose draw with huge smoke output. Initial notes of wood and a blast of red pepper hit the palate. Once the initial light cools down a nice creamy coffee flavor mixes with the wood. Half way into the first third a spice with caramel takes the stage with a woody note moving to the finish. Burn is slightly wavy. Ash is a mid-gray and did not hold very long fell off around the inch mark.

Second Third – Light caramel continues in the beginning of this third along with the woody undertones. Those flavors hold strong throughout the third. Burn remains wavy.

Final Third – This third begins woody with a nice flat cedar. Beautiful flavor profile so far. Burn remained wavy throughout the stick.

Suggested Pairing:

Scotch – Glenlivet 12

Wine – Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc

Overall Experience:

The VegaFina Nicaragua is a great medium bodied cigar with exceptional flavor. It was extremely smooth and consistent throughout the smoking experience. I would buy this again given the opportunity.
