Pre-Light:
Aroma – Barnyard and smoked wood like hickory.

After Toast:
First third – Flavors of caramel coffee and spice kick off this third. A solid medium body start to this cigar. Burn is sharp. Ash is light gray.
Second Third – Flavors of caramel still carry over but a heavier wood component comes into play. Almost an oak sensation on the back of your palate. Moving to a fuller bodied smoke. Burn goes wavy and required a touch up. Ash fell off at the halfway point of the cigar.
Final Third – The spice takes the stage with coffee notes moving to the background. Finishes as fuller bodied cigar. Burn remained slightly wavy.
Suggested Pairing:
Bourbon – Bulleit
Wine – Belles Grives Morgon or Decoy Cabernet
Overall Experience:
The Undercrown Maduro is a great cigar with a touch of sweetness from Drew Estate Undercrown. A solid medium to full experience. Great cigar for someone looking to take that step to a fuller bodied cigar experience, but doesn’t want something too powerful. Overall a great value for the money on this Undercrown cigar.
