This cigar is light brown with shades of light tan marble throughout the stick. There are minimal veins and invisible seams.

After Toast:
First Third – Spice and rich earth kick off this smoke with some salty notes following in the finish. The cigar gets a cream like flavor a few minutes in that turns into the primary note with a nice cedar finish. The burn started sharp and ash fell at the end of this third.
Second Third – The cream, cedar and spice all crash into the palate here with a peppery finish. The burn remained sharp.
Final Third – The cedar transitions to be the primary flavor here with some pepper. The cream lingers on the finish. Burn remained sharp.

Overall Experience:
The Trinidad Santiago is a smooth cigar with a distinct flavor profile. Pretty simple core of flavors and not a ton of complexity, but an enjoyable smoke overall. It is worth picking up if the flavor profile I described is your preference. Personally I think this would be a good cigar for both an aficionado and beginner.
