This Tatuaje Skinny Monster Mummy is milk chocolate in color with some bigger veins running through the length of the stick. Seams are visible and slightly lifted in some spots.
Pre-Light:
Aroma – Perfumed Cedar and Nuts
Type of Cut – Straight
Cold Draw – Wood
After Toast:
First Third – Cedar and cinnamon spice take the lead from the start. Some oaky notes start to come forth once the cigar settles after a few minutes. The burn starts sharp and ash falls at the inch mark.
Second Third – The cedar, oak and cinnamon spice carry into this third with a salted nutty like note entering the finish. The burn remains sharp.
Final Third – The wood, cedar and cinnamon spice continue to remain the dominant flavors into the final third. A light leather takes over the finish towards the end. A very consistent smoke. The burn remains sharp.
Suggested Pairing:
Scotch – Glenmorangie
Wine – Chateau Haut St. Emilion Grand Cru
Overall Experience:
This Tatuaje Skinny Monster Mummy had a solid flavor profile throughout the entire smoke with minimal transitions or complexity. Most of the smokes in this Monster Series have been more complex than this particular one. Check out the Krueger or Michael if you want something really complex, but if your looking for a solid smoke this should do the trick.
