A single band in green with red font obviously symbolizing the sweater that Freddy Krueger wore. The cigar is dark chocolate in color with shine to the stick. It is a firm oval box press. Minimal veins showing on this cigar, but there are some raised seams in some spots.

Aroma – Hickory, wood and barnyard.

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Cedar, chocolate and nut

After Toast:

First Third – A spicy earthy wood note mixed some black pepper kicks this stick off. The pepper lingers for a while almost setting your throat in fire. Once this settles in some wood notes take the stage with a light peppery leather finish. Half way through the third, a leather note becomes the primary flavor with some oily notes. The burn is slightly wavy. Ash is bright white and fell off at the end of this third.

Second Third – Leather transitions a bit to a rich nutty note with small spurts of milk chocolate. The leather comes back on the finish to start this third. At the halfway point of the cigar it gets an oaky flavor mixed with leather. Crazy the amount of flavors out of this smoke so far.

Final Third – Begins with that leather core mixed with some cedar and oak. The cigar gets real rich and earthy as it gets closer to the end. Pepper shows up for the finish as well.

Suggested Pairing:

Scotch – Oban

Wine – Conundrum White Blend

Overall Experience:

The Tatuaje Monster Series The Krueger was MONSTER in flavor. The complexity of this cigar blew me away with the constant changes and transitions I experienced. Really makes me want to try the earlier versions of this line. What an amazing cigar and worth every bit of the price tag. I highly recommend picking this up if you’re a cigar lover. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
