Romeo y Julieta 1875
Size – Toro
Wrapper – Indonesian
Tobacco Blend – Dominican
Pricing – $4.50

Construction/Appearance:
Band is red with white and gold.
The cigar is a light brown/tan in color. Visible seams and one really big vein. Wrapper is toothy. The cigar is double capped.
Pre-Light:
Aroma – Sweet herbal notes, Natural Tobacco
Type of Cut – V-Cut
Cold Draw – Cedar notes
After Toast:
First third – Initial notes of charred oak and vanilla. Woody flavors mixed with natural tobacco and a hint of tea leaves. Burn is pristine. Ash is white and holding strong.
Second Third – The cedar and earthy notes take the stage here with some woody undertones. Burn remained pristine. Ash fell off around a little over the 2-inch mark.
Final Third – I experienced no real change into the finish. Straight cedar wood, earth and vanilla. Burn remained pristine.
Suggested Pairing:
Conundrum White Blend – The oak in the wine enhances the woody flavors of the cigar bringing the vanilla to the forefront.
Overall Experience:
Overall, this Romeo y Julieta 1875 is a real mellow but masculine cigar from Romeo y Julieta Cigars. The flavor profile is pleasant and calming. A perfect cigar to sit and relax with. It is not complex by any means, but would be appreciated by both a beginner and aficionado.
