Pre-Light:
Aroma – Nuts, Cedar and Raisin

Cold Draw – Nuts and Raisin
After Toast:
First Third – Begins with notes of wood and oak along with some spice. This is followed by a lightly oiled leathery finish. A subtle brown sugar slips in just before the transition. Burn is wavy and ash holds through the third.
Second Third – Spicy oak, tangy cedar, mixed with brown sugar and a leathery finish are the main flavors of this third. The leathery note has been the staple of the smoke so far. The burn turns sharp and ash fell at the 2.5-inch mark.
Final Third – The final third brings oak with some baking spice and the sweetness of brown sugar. The finish remains leathery. The burn remains sharp.
Suggested Pairing:
Bourbon – Woodford Reserve
Wine – Domaine Carneros Estate Pinot Noir
Overall Experience:
A rich flavor profile makes this Rocky Patel The Edge Habano a great hour and half experience. The brown sugar in the second third was definitely a distinguishing flavor not seen in many cigars I have smoked. For that reason, I call this a unique and pleasant smoking experience that won’t disappoint for the price point.
