Construction/Appearance:

Both bands are red, gold and white with the first being the typical new world logo and the second being the AJ Fernandez distinction. Cigar a rich toasted brown color. Minimal veins and seams. Double capped.

After Toast:

First Third – Chocolate espresso and pepper pack an immediate punch to the back of your palate on the start of this stick. Nutty notes enter the fold with some hickory on the finish about 15 minutes in. Slightly wavy burn. Ash is dark gray.

Second Third – Begins with a rich earth note and espresso. Hickory still remains on the finish. Burn turned perfect. Ash fell right at the start slightly passed the 2-inch mark.

Final Third – Final third has loads of chocolate, hazelnut and leather blended perfectly. Burn remained unflawed.

Overall Experience:

The New World Puro Especial is a rich medium bodied experience with a real robust flavor profile. There is something in this cigar to please everyones palate preferences in my opinion. Good smoke for those looking to take the next step up from a mild smoke. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat.
