First Third – A mild cedar and natural sweet tobacco carry from the nose to the palate. A zingy fruit note is sensed, similar to fruity pebbles cereal. First time I tasted that, I thought maybe a fluke, but a few draws after it still maintained the fruity flavor. Few minutes in, a wood like note is revealed. This has been a real mild smoking experience thus far.
Second Third – Beginning the second third some spice notes and vanilla mix in with cedar here. The cigar stayed in the mild range with good flavor. The nuance of light coffee notes show themselves in this third.
Final Third – This third brings out the final transition of floral notes that are almost perfume-like. The cigar body remained mild to medium.
Bourbon – Bulleit
Wine – Jean Bouchard Chablis
In conclusion we thought this Montecristo Edmundo was a nice and light smoking experience. It had a lot of good yet mild flavors swirling around the entire experience. I think for those looking to get into Montecristo Cuban Cigars this would be a perfect entry point. Good luck finding them!
