Pre-Light:
Aroma – Sweet cedar and hay.
Type of Cut – Straight

After Toast:
First Third – Starts off with wood and earthy notes with pepper on the retro hale. Shortly after the initial light. a nice nutty note takes control. Burn is wavy, but it is breezy outside today. Ash medium gray.
Second Third – The cedar really picks up moving the nutty note to the background. At the half way point, a smooth vanilla component comes into play with a touch of coffee. Burn remained wavy.
Final Third – Earthy and nutty notes along with spice and cedar return to the forefront to come full circle with this smoke. Burn remained wavy.
Suggested Pairing:
Bourbon – Knob Creek
Wine – Markham Merlot
Overall Experience:
The Man O War Cigars is fairly simple smoking experience with a few cyclical flavors rotating in and out. A nice medium to full bodied experience, rich on the palate. I’d smoke this again given the opportunity.
