Construction/Appearance:

The cigar wrapper is toothy with hues of reddish brown. It has one major vein and tight seams. The cigar is finished with a double cap.

Pre-Light:

Aroma – Cedar and Hay

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Nutty

After Toast:

First Third – A pleasant cedar note mixed with nuts open this stick with a mild pepper note on the finish. The burn is sharp and ash held through the third.

Second Third – Cedar is still present but a nice earthy note with some spice kick up a notch. The pepper is still building on the finish. Burn remained sharp. Ash fell at the 2.25-inch mark.

Final Third – The cedar, earth and spice all carry into this third and swirl around the palate puff after puff. Burn remains sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Wine – Spier Rose or Legende Bordeaux Blanc

Bourbon – Makers Mark

Overall Experience:

This La Aroma De Cuba is a nice simple cigar. There is not a lot of complexity, but the flavor profile is pronounced and pleasing on the palate. I really enjoyed this smoke and would definitely have one again.
