The Hoyo La Amistad is a matte milk chocolate in color with some thicker veins and invisible seams.
Pre-Light:
Aroma – Smoked Wood and Spice

Cold Draw – Nuts and Cedar
After Toast:
First Third – Rich smoked cedar and earth start this smoke off with a bang. A few minutes in a Creamy vanilla like note shows itself followed by a light pepper on the finish. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.
Second Third – Creamy smoked cedar continues into this third with the pepper getting a bit stronger and a light brown sugar type sweetness coming into the fold. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the mid point of the cigar.
Final Third – The smoked cedar and that brown sugar note with a leather like finish. The burn remains sharp.
Suggested Pairing:
Wine – Meiomi Pinot Noir, Septima Malbec
Bourbon – Bulleit
Overall Experience:
I thought this Hoyo La Amistad was a good smoke overall with a pleasant flavor profile. The brown sugar like notes were a nice middle man in this stick and the finish with the leather at the end really polished this off. I would buy this again given the opportunity.
