Cold Draw – Spicy Cedar, Sweet Baked Fruit like fig / prune

After Toast:

First Third – A sweet creamy cocoa and earthy flavors start this off followed by light coffee and spicy fruit notes. Some leather is noted on the palate that mixes in with the earthy finish. The burn is sharp and ash holds.

Second Third – Cherry-like fruit with spice and coffee bean hold this third down with the leather on the finish. Really pleasant on the palate. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the halfway point.

Final Third – Dark fruits and spice continue here in a perfumed blend on the palate. Beautiful notes. The finish turns to a robust cedar. The burn remains sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Wine – Belle Grives Morgan or San Giuseppe Valpolicella

Bourbon – Basil Hayden

Overall Experience:

The Exactus Maduro is a nice treat with wine fermented tobacco. Lots of fruit mixed with cocoa, earth, spice and cedar gives this smoke a great complexity level to keep your palate salivating during the entire hour and half experience. If you can find this I suggest giving it a shot as it’s truly one of a kind.
