Construction/Appearance:
Gold, yellow, black and white band. Holographic like.
Cigar is milk chocolate in color. Velvety to the touch, minimal veins and a few seams. The cigar is triple capped.

Aroma – Sweet Tobacco and Wood
Type of Cut – V-Cut
Cold Draw – Cocoa, Raisin and Cedar
After Toast:
First third – Initial light has a real rich robust earthy note that blasts the palate. Then coffee and a nutty-like flavors are revealed as the cigar heats up. Slight pepper on the finish. Burn is perfect. Ash is light gray fell off at the 1.5-inch mark.
Second Third – Earth notes still remain, but a nice vanilla and French roast coffee become predominant. Really nice smooth transition.
Final Third – Coffee remains along with the earth and vanilla. Slight citrus and floral note kicks in for a refreshing finish. Burn remained perfect.

Overall Experience:
Overall the Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios was about as smooth as a smoke comes. The transitions were defined and seamless on the palate with a few late surprises. This cigar was a great way to finish up the anniversary weekend with the wife.
