Construction/Appearance:
The Cimarron Maduro is a nice chocolate brown leather smoke with a few veins and visible yet tight seams.
Pre-Light:
Aroma – Cedar and Chocolate

Cold Draw – Cedar and Spice
After Toast:
First Third – A rich spicy wood kicks this smoke off with some caramel like undertones on the finish. After a few minutes, some earth notes also come into the fold. Really nice start to the Cimarron Maduro. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.
Second Third – The caramel and spice really open up here in this third with the earthy notes lingering on the palate through the finish. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the 2.25-inch mark.
Final Third – The spice and wood notes pick back up here as the caramel fades. The rich earth still holds the finish by picking up strength as the cigar gets closer to the end. The burn remains sharp.
Suggested Pairing:
Bourbon – Woodford Reserve
Wine – Luc Pirlet Corbieres
Overall Experience:
The Cimarron Maduro is a nice well rounded smoke with spicy components mixed with wood, earth and a beautiful caramel that makes for a great experience. It was a solid hour smoke that I’d have again given the opportunity! Look for these coming soon to your local shop!
