Tobacco Blend – Dominican

Pricing – $7.20

Body – Medium

Construction/Appearance:

A nice tan walnut leather stick with a few veins and visible yet tight seams.

Pre-Light:

Aroma – Cedar

After Toast:

First Third – Notes of toasted bread and perfumed florals fly out of the gate followed by a gentle spice and subtle pepper on the finish. Few minutes in those toasty notes turn more towards a spicy yet sweet cedar. The burn is sharp, and ash holds through the third.

Second Third – The sweet yet spicy cedar carries over into this third and the finish gets rich and earthy. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the halfway point.

Final Third – Spicy cedar powers this third with a nice nutty note followed by that earthy finish. The burn remains sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Wine – Chandon Sweet Star

Bourbon – Bulliet

Overall Experience:

This Cimarron Claro is a great medium bodied smoke experience with beautiful flavors blended in for a palate pleaser. The different flavors take this stick from one end of the spectrum to the other. The sweet yet spicy, cedar, and earth really make for a nice smoke. A great release from El Artista Cigars. Well done!
