This CAO Nicaragua is a darker rich brown with marbling colors. There are some obvious veins and visible seams that are slightly uplifted in places.

After Toast:

First Third – Rich Nuts and spice start this smoke off with some pepper on the finish. A little bit into this third a nice orange zest like note intermingles with the original flavors. The burn is sharp and ash holds through the third.

Second Third – Nuts and fresh coffee bean followed by the spice and pepper finish hit this third hard making the smoke a true full bodied experience. The burn turns wavy and ash fell at the mid point.

Final Third – Nuts and spice carry into this third with the finish moving to a nice leather. The burn remains wavy.

Suggested Pairing:

Bourbon – Angels Envy

Wine – Chateau Haut Cadet St. Emilion Grand Cru

Overall Experience:

This CAO Nicaragua is a really nice consistent cigar through and through. With a rich full-bodied flavor profile this cigar was definitely made with the cigar aficionado in mind. All in all a great new release from the CAO team.
