The cigar is rich brown in color with shiny reddish hues. There are a few veins and tight seams here.
Pre-Light:
Aroma – Cedar and Nuts

After Toast:
First Third – Cinnamon spice kick this stick off followed by a cream like note and wood. Few minutes in all the initial notes are present but a nutmeg component enters the fold. The burn is sharp and ash holds.
Second Third – Nuts and a nice dark cherry like fruit note hit the palate here with the cinnamon spice integrating well with the profile on the finish. The burn remains sharp and ash fell at the halfway point.
Final Third – Nuts, spice, dark fruits and a really nice earthy finish kick off this third. A slight oily petrol like note hits the end of the cigar. The burn turns wavy at the end.
Suggested Pairing:
Scotch – Johnnie Walker Double Black
Wine – Ponzi Pinot Noir
Overall Experience:
This CAO Consigliere is a good cigar and I am happy that CAO Cigars re-released this. I picked up a box years ago when they announce they were discontinuing the Sopranos themed smokes and enjoyed the hell out of that box. Now I am happy to say with all the same delicious notes I remember, they are back baby. Pick this one up, I don’t think it will disappoint you.
