Cigar Review: Camacho Coyolar

Basic Information: Camacho Coyolar

Size – Perfecto #1

Wrapper – Honduran

Tobacco Blend – Honduran

Pricing – $8.00

Body – Medium +

This Camacho Coyolar is a nice dark chocolate in color with minimal veins and tight seams.

Aroma – Earth and Barnyard

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Sweet Tobacco

After Toast:

First Half – Espresso and spice start working on the palate right away with a finish of earth. Toward the end of the half some oak like notes begin on the palate. The burn is slightly wavy and falls at the half point.

Final Half – Espresso, spice and oak carry into this half. Beautiful notes that are pronounced as all hell. The burn turns sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Bourbon – Basil Hayden

Wine – William Hill Bench Blend

Overall Experience:

The Camacho Coyolar is a great small smoke that was rich, simple and consistent. I enjoyed the oak and espresso combination, which were really pronounced and expressive in this stick. I’d buy this again in a second.

Cigar Aficionado – 88pts.
