After Toast:
First Third – This stick starts out with an coffee , cedar and leather like note as the primary flavors with some pepper definitely building on the palate during the finish. There may be a subtle citrus lime like note right before the leather kicks in here. The burn is sharp and ash held through the third.
Second Third – The citrus fruit like note really shows up here along with cedar and spice. The burn remains sharp and ash fell right at the beginning of this third.
Final Third – The coffee and citrus notes take the stage here followed by the cedar and spice. That coffee note is a lot like a Kona Coffee blend, which is really a nice flavorful experience. The burn remains sharp till the end.
Suggested Pairing:
Bourbon – Bulleit
Wine – Chablis Premier Cru Cote de Lechet or Matua Rose´
Overall Experience:
This Arturo Fuente Sun Grown is a refreshing medium bodied smoke. Lots going on with the cedar, spice, citrus, coffee and leather components. Really nice cigar for the money. Love sun grown tobacco. This is a buy in my book.
