Construction/Appearance:
The coloring is a bright reddish brown and wrapper is smooth as it gets. Little to no veins and seams are non existent.
Pre-Light:
Aroma – Cedar and Barnyard
Type of Cut – Straight
Cold Draw – Cedar, Spice and Raisin
After Toast:
First Third – Flavos of pepper, cream and cedar start off this smoke. As the cigar settles, some herbal notes mix in with the cream followed with a sweet leather finish. The burn is sharp and ash fell just at the end of the third (with an assist from the light breeze).
Second Third – Herbal, spice, nuts and leather take the stage during this transition. Flavors get boldly rich for a full bodied smoking experience. A floral note comes into the mix at the mid-point of the cigar which is a pleasant change. The finish is still heavy with leather on the palate. The burn remains sharp.
Final Third – Nuts, leather and spice kick in for the remaining third. The pepper also kicks up a notch towards the finish leaving your mouth watering for more. Beautifully done for the finish.
Suggested Pairing:
Bourbon – Angels Envy
Wine – Meiomi Chardonnay
Overall Experience:
The Alec Bradley Tempus Natural is a beautiful full bodied smoke from Alec Bradley Cigars. Plenty of rich flavors in the profile to keep your palate entertained. One of the better cigars I have smoked over the years and would highly recommend picking one of these up to have after a long day or week. These are not for the beginner, as it will over power them, but for those aficionados this one is a must have.
