Manufacturer – Aging Room Cigars

Size – Toro

Wrapper – Mexican San Andreas Maduro

Tobacco Blend – Dominican

Pricing – $10.00

Body –  Medium +

Construction/Appearance:

This is a nice milk chocolate brown colored stick with minimal veins, invisible seams and box pressed.

Pre-Light:

Aroma – Barnyard and Nutty

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Cedar and Mineral

After Toast:

First Third – Salted caramel and spice kick this off with a subtle red pepper on the finish. The burn is sharp, and ash holds through the third.

Second Third – The second third brings some chocolate notes into the mix moving the salted caramel to the finish, which is long at this point between puffs. At the mid point of the stick, a nice leathery component comes in as the main flavor. Salted caramel note is still hanging on but delicately on the finish. The burn turned slightly wavy and ash fell at the mid point.

Final Third – The salted caramel note comes back full force here mixed with some spice. Some woody notes appear here as well.

Suggested Pairing:

Scotch – Johnnie Walked Double Black

Wine – Domaine Carneros Le Ciel Estate Pinot Noir

Overall Experience:

I thought this Aging Room Quattro F55 Maduro was an OK smoke overall. I had high expectations based off the experience I had with its predecessor the F55, but I did not find the profile to be all that complex and interesting in this one. The chocolate and salted caramel notes pretty much hung through the whole stick until the end when that nice woody note came in. If I had a choice, pick the F55 over the F55M, you can thank us later.
