Basic Information: Camacho Candela

Body – Mild

This Camacho Candela is a nice light green with some brownish hues. There are a few veins and slightly lifted cigars.

Aroma – Prune and Raisin

Type of Cut – Straight

Cold Draw – Prune

After Toast:

First third – Grassy notes with a minty type smoke mixed with creamy vanilla note. Some peppery notes hit the back of the palate. The burn is wavy and ash falls at the inch mark.

Second Third – Grass, fresh herbs and cream become the dominant notes here. Little bit of smoked wood too. The burn remains sharp.

Final Third – The grass and creamy vanilla notes come back into the fold here and peppery notes come back towards the nub. The burn remains sharp.

Suggested Pairing:

Bourbon – Basil Hayden

Wine – Etoile Brut, Groth Sauvignon Blanc

Overall Experience:

Always a fan of the candela wrapper, this Camacho Candela is a great mild smoke for those who do not want something that is powerful on the palate. Lots of nice refreshing flavors due to the chlorophyl in the wrapper gives it some different notes than your average smoke!
