Apothic Rosé 2018 – Wine Review

Apothic Rosé 2018

This is a wine review of an Apothic Rosé by Apothic wines. The vintage chosen for this review is the 2018. This wine is from California and is a blend of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel varietals. This wine has 13% alcohol content and can be found at your local store for around $10.98 per bottle. These can be found at your local Target, Total Wine, Walmart or just about anywhere else that sells wine in your area!

This Apothic Rosé 2018 is clear and medium pink in color. It has a fun label that has a nice embossed silver design to it.

The aromas of the Apothic Rosé 2018 were fairly simple and fruit forward with loads of strawberry and watermelon. We also picked up a subtle steel like component on the nose. This wine has all primary notes on the nose and is youthful.

The Apothic Rosé 2018 is a dry wine with higher acidity levels and was medium bodied on the palate. The flavor profile consists of tart strawberry, succulent watermelon, honey dew melon and a light cream. The finish is medium in length. It is best to serve this wine chilled.

Overall Experience

This Apothic Rosé 2018 has the intensity level on the nose and balance to make it a good wine drinking experience. I would have liked to see a little more complexity and length on the finish, but for a $10.00 bottle of Rosé this wine does the trick for the summer. This wine is made to drink now and not suitable for further aging.

Food – Beef, Lamb, Poultry, Spicy Food

Cigar – Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua

Winemakers Notes

Peer into the secret garden, beyond the veiled gate. Among pale petals, lies a refreshing Rosé wine. Layers of strawberry and watermelon with a hint of raspberry, for a refreshing wine that is light in color yet dark in nature.
