Aroma/Nose

This Aglianico Del Vulture Riserva 2011 has a medium intensity of aromas on the nose. The aromas consist of stewed cherries, vanilla, anise and barnyard. This wine is developing.  

Taste/Palate

This wine is dry with a full body, medium acidity and high tannin level. This Aglianico Del Vulture Riserva 2011 has a medium intensity of flavors on the palate that consist of stewed black cherry which almost makes it syrupy. There is a spice and chocolate note on the medium length finish. 

Overall Experience 

This Aglianico Del Vulture Riserva 2011 is a good wine as it had complexity and balance. The barnyard aromas were definitely interesting. This is a wine that could be for drinking now, but suitable for further aging and development.
